History of QuiSoil
IN 1998, GOC® released the first version of BAT 506. Since then the product has evolved into the current formula marketed as QuikSoil® 506 in Europe and QuikSoil® 2600 and 2300 in the USA. The product has undergone 4 generations of improvements since initial release. New discoveries in microbiology and enzymology have been incorporated in the current version of the product, yielding superior results. GOC® has treated more than six million tons of organic wastes with 506, 2600 and 2300 since 1998.
Typically, use of QuilSoil® results in decreases in odorous emissions and decreases in carbon emissions; facilitates thorough pathogen and weed seed kill; yields compost with higher organic content, higher humic content, and greater stability; and decreases the processing and maturation time required to achieve that stability. QuikSoil® acts as an aeration agent and a biological accelerant. It is a liquid product added one time to each unit (cube, yard, ton, etc.) of material to be composted. It contains specific minerals, enzymes, and complex carbohydrates designed to accomplish certain functions. QuikSoil® greatly diminishes the need for mechanical aeration, thus reducing fuel costs and fuel emissions.
QuikSoil® performs best when specific management practices are utilized. The combination of product and management practices creates the QuikSoil® BACS Process. BACS is an acronym for Biologically Accelerated Carbon Stabilization. GOC® believes the QuikSoil® BACS process must replace conventional composting processes in a carbon conscious world.
