AIR TREATMENT

Too often, air treatment means perfumes or masking agents atomized aimlessly into the air with little consideration of type of odor, weight of odor, or any other physical and chemical characteristics. Molecular contact is necessary for any chemical change to occur. Consequently, it is vital that the molecular weight of atomized particles of treatment be similar to the molecular weight of the gases causing the problem. All other treatments impact only the noses of potentially offended parties. If the odorous gas is lighter than the deodorizer it will rise faster and higher than the treatment. If the odorous gas is heavier, the deodorizer will rise faster and higher than the offensive gas. Therefore, treatment products must be specific to various types of odorous gases.

GOC® products are designed to interact with specific ranges of compounds. They utilize active chemistry to change odorous compounds by bonding (chemical addition), ionization (reorganization), or by molecular breakdown (chemical decomposition). Each product is devised according to molecular weight, specific gravity, evaporation rate and pH to maximize effectiveness against a given range of gases.

GOC® air contact products are diluted with water at rates determined by the pressure at which the diluted liquid is delivered to the nozzle. The greater the pound per square inch (psi) at delivery, the greater the dilution rate available. For example, a GOC® product will be diluted a minimum of 75 to 1 at 30 psi, 200 to 1 at 100 psi, 750 to 1 at 500 psi, and as much as 2000 to 1 at higher pressures.

GOC® provides various products for reduced sulfur compounds, ammonia and amines, VOC's (including indole and 3 methyl indole), and many other types of odors. Product recommendations are based on the specifics of each situation. MSD sheets are available in the Downloads section. Contact us by e-mail with the specifics of any situation for a recommendation and preliminary quotation.
